Flooring questions, answered plainly
I've already bought the flooring — can I just book installation?
Yes, that's common. Say what you've bought (product and how many boxes or square metres), the rooms it's going into, and what's on the floor now. If old flooring needs ripping up and disposing of, say so — it's part of the job and honest offers include it.
Who moves the furniture?
Sort it before booking, not on the day. Empty rooms are fastest and cheapest; if you need the installer to shift beds and wardrobes, put that in the description so the offer covers it. Either way, the locked price you accept reflects what you described.
Is sanding and polishing timber floors a big disruption?
Honestly, yes — it's noisy, the rooms are out of action while coats dry, and even with good machines there's some dust. The result is worth it, but plan around it: describe the rooms and ask the installers in the job chat how many days your floor would actually need.
